Hobson Prior is seeking an Analytical Project Manager. This role involves developing and establishing analytical methods for new drug substances and products. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of projects, work with external partners, and ensure that all products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop analytical methods for new drug substances and products.
• Manage a portfolio of 2-4 projects.
• Work with external partners on analytical projects.
• Develop, optimise and implement analytical methods.
• Document all analytical activities according to good documentation practices.
• Review, interpret and document analytical data.
• Ensure the maintenance and operation of analytical equipment according to GMP.
• Draft and review various documents such as CoAs, Analytical results sheets, specifications, SOPs, GUIs, TPLs, and FRMs.
• Design and execute projects or experiments independently.
• Establish source documents for IND, IMPD, and NDA/MA submissions.
• Manage the outsourcing of analytical activities to CROs/CMOs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, biology, or chemical engineering.
• Knowledge of GMP/regulatory requirements and a strong background in analytical chemistry.
• Proven track record of managing people in a matrix system.
• Excellent communication skills, time-management, and team-working skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Business fluency in English.
• Strong skills in timeline development and management.
• Broad knowledge in analytical chemistry.
• Experience in synthetic chemistry, drug substance processing, and/or formulation development.
