Hobson Prior is seeking a versatile and skilled Process Engineer to support manufacturing operations, facilities, and utilities services in a gene therapy manufacturing facility. The role also involves supporting capital projects and technology transfer projects in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

• Help with manufacturing needs in a highly regulated environment for the production of Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products.
• Assist in the design and review of capital projects, particularly for single-use biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
• Organise commissioning, qualification, maintenance, calibration and improvements with venders.
• Support technical transfer activities, including design and developing specifications for single-use equipment items.
• Contribute to implementing and developing applicable engineering specifications and standards.
• Provide input on safety, health, and environment programs, including risk assessments and safety investigations.
• Ensure all work complies with Good Manufacturing Practice, Data Integrity, and Good Documentation Practice.
• Identify and implement technology-based and work practice solutions to reduce waste and overall cost.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in a related Engineering or Science discipline.
• Comprehensive practical and theoretical knowledge in a wide range of biopharmaceutical equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with computerized equipment systems and data integrity principles.
• Experience with commissioning and qualification of process equipment and utilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues in a structured and timely manner.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills with efficient time management.
• Innovative thinking and creativity to meet challenges resourcefully.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with good presentation abilities.
• Proficient in English both verbally and written.
