Hobson Prior is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our client's team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will focus on ensuring that all materials and products meet quality standards during the analysis process. You will be responsible for overseeing analytical methods and equipment, ensuring compliance with quality policies, and managing the analysis of materials in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage methods for testing materials and products.
• Ensure the right technology is used for testing and that it meets industry standards.
• Test raw materials and products to ensure they are safe and meet quality standards.
• Review and approve testing procedures and handle any issues that arise.
• Train team members on updates related to testing and quality standards.
• Manage the purchase and setup of testing equipment.
• Participate in audits to ensure compliance with quality practices.
• Work with teams to improve testing processes and reduce errors.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment focused on quality.
• Strong skills in problem solving and using testing techniques.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with software like Microsoft Word, Excel, and others.
• Ability to work independently and improve processes.
