Hobson Prior currently having an exciting opportunity for a Senior Screening Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical organisation who provide pioneering medicines to patients all over the world. You will join the Functional Genomics (FGX) team on a 12-month contract basis in Cambridge, with the possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of pooled CRISPR screening.

Design, develop and implement experimental plans.

Contribute to the continuous improvement process by identifying opportunities where enhancements can be made.

Head up parts of scientific discipline within the team.

Contribute to projects and internal presentations at department or functional meetings.

Ensure compliance with local safety, health and environment policies.

Prior contributions to scientific research.

Strong expertise in state of the art pooled CRISPR screening in complex cell backgrounds.

Practical experience of functional genomics in target discovery.

Requirements:

Educated to a minimum of degree level (BSc) with significant industry experience or PhD in Cell Biology/relevant discipline.

Experience in advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques applied to development of physiologically relevant cellular models.

Prior experience working in an industrial/pharmaceutical laboratory applying relevant molecular and cell biology techniques.
