Hobson Prior currently have an opportunity for a Scientist (LSW) to join a leading pharmaceutical organisation who are passionate about changing patients' lives by delivering therapeutic breakthroughs for patients in oncology, immunology, ophthalmology, rare diseases, neuroscience, and infectious diseases.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable to master all aspects of cell banking, quality control, cell inventory management and import/export of cell lines.
• Manage data workflows and partner with the informatics team to advance informatics solutions.
• Co-operate with the contract management team to establish the required Licenses and Material Transfer Agreements to ensure we are legally compliant when using and sharing their cell lines.
• Continuously optimise the organisation's cell culture processes and help define outsourcing strategies for cell banking and quality control.
• Contribute to drug discovery projects and other critical initiatives by representing the cell culture team or the whole Lead Discovery department.

Requirements:

• Degree in Life Science (biology oriented): Bachelor, Master or PhD maximum (No Post Docs).
• 2 years' experience in cell culture methods, including quality control and documentation.
• Excellent biology understanding.
