Hobson Prior is seeking a Quality Manager - Responsible Person (RP) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and UK regulatory requirements for the manufacturing, importation, and distribution of medicinal products. In this role, you will oversee quality management systems, supply chain compliance, and act as the designated Responsible Person (RP) for Wholesale Distribution Authorisations (WDA(H)). This position is critical in maintaining high standards of product quality and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including handling deviations, changes, complaints, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Manage quality-related issues across the supply chain, including risk assessments and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct audits of external partners and ensure follow-up on any required improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for manufacturing processes and product specifications.
  • Lead stability programs for licensed and unlicensed products.
  • Provide training on GMP and GDP compliance to staff as needed.
  • Act as the named Responsible Person (RP) for GDP compliance, ensuring proper storage, transportation, and handling of products.
  • Ensure inspection readiness for UK sites holding WDA(H) licenses.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Degree in life sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences).
  • Knowledge of UK/EU GMP and GDP regulations, including Human Medicines Regulations 2012.
  • Experience in quality assurance within manufacturing and distribution environments.
  • Eligible to act as a Responsible Person under MHRA guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, make decisions, and build effective relationships with teams, suppliers, and regulators.
