QC Materials Manager

Hobson Prior are looking for an experienced QC Materials Manager to join a brilliant pharmaceutical company on a permanent basis located in Shannon. Our Client is focused on treatment development for serious diseases that may be curable.

Key Responsibilities:

• In this position, you will be managing a team of quality control material analysts who will be responsible for ensuring that all products released for sale and new materials received for sale are compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Contribute to the overall objectives of the group by providing line management to the members of the incoming material inspection department.
• Make the most efficient use of personnel and resources by planning and assigning work to the team.
• Managing the incoming material inspection department to ensure a seamless supply of materials for drug manufacturing.
• Ensure that all direct reports and persons working on projects are fully trained and maintain a high standard of record keeping and documentation.
• Develop and implement quality control documentation and continuous improvement programs.

Requirements:

• A supervisory or management background, specifically in materials, logistics management, and/or supply chain management, is preferred.
• Ideally, you should have a minimum of four years of experience working in a GxP environment in a scientific field such as biochemistry, chemistry, etc.
• Experience with quality documentation and batch releases
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is preferred.
• An ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
