Hobson Prior is seeking a Business Development Manager for a permanent role based in Munich. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our Research and Clinical Development team, focusing on client outreach and strategic support. This role involves some travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing new business opportunities, focusing on regulatory, clinical, biometrics, and medical strategy practices.
- Understand and promote our range of services, with a focus on Research and Clinical Development services.
- Actively seek out and engage with potential clients in the DACH region.
- Schedule and participate in new client meetings, acting as a facilitator for senior team members.
- Participate in strategic discussions to support business growth and expansion.
- Coordinate proposal and contract preparation with respective teams.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to leverage marketing campaigns and follow up with new client requests.
- Track current and past clients, including follow-up, deadlines, and metrics, using CRM tools.
- Assist with the quality control and review process for new business proposals and presentations.
- Ensure that our CRM system is kept current.
- Participate in internal, client, and other meetings as required.
- Comply with ICH GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and company SOPs.
- Manage and resolve conflicting priorities to deliver on commitments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Sciences.
- Experience in clinical research in a Clinical Research Organization (CRO), biotech, pharma, or medical device company.
- Ability to travel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills to tackle unstructured or ambiguous challenges.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and verbal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, yet less structured team environment.
- Outgoing and personable nature with the ability to quickly engage with potential clients and form relationships with new people.
- Previous experience using a CRM system preferred.
