Area Sales Manager

Hobson Prior are working with a world-wide medical device organisation who are determined to deliver better outcomes for patients. Our client is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join them on a permanent basis in Reading.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the evaluation of target accounts, setting up appointments, driving product knowledge, product use and business opportunities.
• Establishing and fostering strong relationships within NHS system, with key hospital contacts, surgeons, ICU's, theatre & all other relevant avenues, including procurement.
• Ensuring personal market/competitor knowledge is effectively maintained.
• Facilitating formal educational training for all levels of client.
• Delivering excellent customer service to maintain high standards set by the organisation.
• Assisting surgeons and theatre staff with the use and application of products, and provide technical expertise to registrars, nurses and other personnel as required.
• Demonstrate after-care of product to medical personnel.
• Attend conferences, exhibitions and clinical meetings as necessary.

• Being able to work flexible hours dependent on business demand.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Proven ability to take responsibility for own work and maintain a high personal and professional standard.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Requirements:

• Strong sales experience into hospitals, procurement systems, surgeons, nurses, theatres, within NHS Acute market.
• Tenacity and the drive to develop a market from the ground up, and to be an integral member of a growing, dynamic global business.
• A minimum of 10+ years in Burns, Wound care, Plastic Surgery and or medical device sales.
• Experience of working within the operating theatre environment, i.e. product training or support.
• Extensive contact network of Plastic surgeons Burns and reconstructive surgery, relevant NHS personnel.
