Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior Programmer. This role involves running the programming aspects of clinical projects and clinical studies. The successful candidate will ensure top-grade programming, contribute to best practices and manage risks within assigned studies or projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct the programming aspects of a clinical study or a clinical project of a smaller size.
• Implement statistical programming parts of the protocol or clinical development program.
• Ensure high quality in your own work and the work delivered by other programmers.
• Write specifications and oversee the completeness of relevant documentation.
• Contribute to or lead the development of best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the function.
• Ensure compliance to standards and automation usage.
• Plan and lead team activities and tasks.
• Identify, manage, and communicate risk within the assigned studies and/or projects.
• Work proactively with study team members.
• Work cooperatively with contract programming providers.
• Provide subject matter expertise on programming related items to stakeholders.
• Contribute to or lead technical initiatives.
• Use project management practices in managing programming aspects of drug or technical projects.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Be able to conduct and run programming sections of a clinical study or project.
• Understanding of statistical programming.
• Ensure your own work and the work delivered by other programmers is top-grade.
• Write specifications and oversee the completeness of relevant documentation.
• Contribute to or lead the development of best practices.
• Knowledge of standards and automation usage.
• Plan and lead team activities and tasks.
• Ability to identify, manage, and communicate risk.
• Work proactively with study team members and contract programming providers.
• Provide subject matter expertise on programming related items.
• Contribute to or lead technical initiatives.
• Experience in project management practices.
