Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Senior Genetics Data Scientist to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in the UK. Our client is focused on finding and developing small molecule treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will develop and execute new analytical features for their analytical data analytics platform.
• Assist with business development actions when needed.
• Aid in forming the company's reputation with publications and presentations at conferences.
• Responsible for analysing genetic, phenotypic and multi-omic datasets with the use of their internal data analytics platform.
• Form and refine AI and machine learning models for accurate medicine diagnostics.
• Guarantee record keeping and filing of data is updated and precise.
• The ideal candidate will assist with suitable protection of genetic and biological intellectual property.
• Work alongside both internal and external researchers to guarantee the progress successfully.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level in a bioinformatics field would be preferable.
• Familiarity working with machine learning/AI tools.
• Know-how and comprehension of data privacy concerns and needs.
• Computer and programming language literacy, as well as version control.
• Prior involvement working with large biological data sets such as omics, EHR, RWE, clinical phenotypes).
