Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior Analyst to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in Farnham. Our client is focused on producing and offering medical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will guarantee that divisional goals are executed aligned with the general quality/corporate objectives.
  • Guide OOS/OOT investigations, utilising technical expertise to recognise transferrable cause and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for complying with all safety and GMP needs in the lab.
  • The ideal candidate will plan day-to-day schedule for self and others in the team to meet both testing and batch release needs.
  • Mentor QC Analysts in numerous analytical and laboratory procedures.
  • Prepare and propose test samples from raw materials, in-process and final product samples to both internal labs and external test houses.
  • Accountable for lab equipment which involves daily up-keep and maintenance and support in troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Operate to SOPs/Wis, accomplish sampling, inspection and analysis of raw materials or components, in-process and final product samples to defined chemical, physical and pharmacopoeia test procedures to assist with manufacturing and development actions.
  • You will document all testing actions to present company and regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate analytical outcomes to guarantee precision and compliance to test strategies and registered specifications.
  • Responsible for preparing and revising lab protocols, reports, processes and WIs.
  • Support the development of analytical procedures to meet both internal and global method validation needs to assist with any QC or Manufacturing actions.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a scientific or similar field.
  • Familiarity within a pharmaceutical organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience within an analytical lab.
  • Know-how of quality systems and the experience of working within a regulated setting.
  • Expertise on GLP/GMP.
  • Knowledge of analytical practices, for example: HPLC/GC/ Classical Wet Analytical Techniques.
  • Comprehension and implementation of COSHH guidelines in a chemical organisation.
