Scientist in Biochemistry

Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Scientist in Biochemistry to join a Swiss global healthcare organisation who are focused on offering medical solutions in order to transform patients' lives. You will join their Biochemistry Group on a contract basis in Basel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Characterize drug targets with biochemical and mechanistic enzymology assays.
• Accountable to ensure appropriate data quality, consistency, availability and timely delivery to project teams.
• Design and develop quantitative biochemical assays for High Throughput Screening and analysis of mode of action analysis of small molecule inhibitors.

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic to work within and across teams.

Requirements:

• MSc, or BSc or vocational training and professional experience as equivalent, experience in lead discovery in pharma, biotech or contract research organizations preferred.
• Experience in biochemical assay development using various readouts and their applications to protein characterization, lead finding, compound profiling during lead identification.
• Knowledge of quantitative analysis of biochemical assay data.
