Hobson Prior is seeking a Scientist to join the Automation & Assays team in the field of bioscience technology. This role focuses on supporting drug discovery programs within cardiovascular, renal, and metabolism areas. You will work with advanced automation platforms to conduct molecular biology assays, aiming to deliver high-quality data for understanding pharmacological responses and actions of therapeutic drugs.

Responsibilities:

• Process tissue samples using techniques that enhance cell surface proteins for detailed analysis.
• Participate in developing new methods and assays using automated systems.
• Plan and conduct experiments, solve problems, and report findings promptly.
• Contribute to developing models that support drug projects by identifying targets and evaluating potential drugs.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• A background in molecular biology or related fields with practical experience.
• Proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques, especially protein assays.
• Ability to design studies independently, perform lab work, and analyze data.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with processing biological samples and proteomics.
• Experience with automation technology and assay development is beneficial.
• Capability to lead and guide others technically.
