Hobson Prior is working closely with a pharmaceutical company who are seeking a Quality Manager for a role based in Gloucester. This role requires someone who is committed to delivering safe and effective products and is dedicated to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the company's licenses and certifications, ensuring inspection readiness at all times.
  • Conduct self-inspections and internal audits, host regulatory inspections, and perform audits of service providers and business partners.
  • Oversee customer service complaints relating to the quality of services.
  • Maintain the UK Quality Management System (QMS) by updating all departmental Standard Operating Procedures and other QMS documents.
  • Ensure regular training is performed and that training records are updated.
  • Apply Quality Risk Management Principles to all business processes and perform dynamic risk-assessments.
  • Ensure timely resolution of internal change controls and deviations.
  • Analyse trends, generate metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management review.
  • Use complaint metrics and KPIs to drive performance improvement from key suppliers.
  • Ensure that key suppliers are qualified and periodically re-qualified.
  • Prepare or review validation documents for computerised systems development and GDP activities.
  • Contribute to site management, ensuring that health and safety, security, and temperature are monitored and controlled.
  • Stay updated with emerging legislative changes and review alerts for continued customer qualification

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Responsible Person or performed the delegated duties of a Responsible Person.
  • A bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.
  • Experience working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in a Quality Systems and GDP compliance role.
  • Experience operating to ISO 9001:2015 standard, ICH Q9 and GDP is essential. Additional knowledge in other GxP Disciplines and ISO 14001:2015 is advantageous.
  • Minimum internal Auditing qualification (Lead auditor preferred) and experience performing internal audits / self-inspections and third-party audits across GxP disciplines.
