Hobson Prior are in search for a QC scientist to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in Stevenage. Our client is focused on manufacturing immunotherapies to attack oncogenic cells.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will be responsible for QC testing of raw materials, in process controls and finished product in line with GMP regulations.
• Contribute to the planning and analysis of documentation including SOPs and deviations.
• The ideal candidate will perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment including flow cytometers.
• You will aid in the development and qualification of the next in line GMP assays.
• Responsible for performing day-to-day obligations to ensure that the laboratories are in an audit ready state.
• Manage activities with production to guarantee suitable and timely sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process samples and completed product.
• The Senior Scientist will be responsible for the QC Scientist.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a Life Science field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a scientific laboratory role.
• Experience operating in a GLP/GCLP/GMP controlled environment (a GMP background is preferred).
• Proficiency in flow cytometry.
• You will have past experience in cell culture.
• Prior experience in authoring deviations and any other related paperwork.
• Knowledge in ELISpot.
• Obtained a qualification in analytical development.
• Exhibit previous experience in PCR.
