Hobson Prior are currently looking for a QC Manager to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a 1 year with the potential of being 13 month FTC basis located in Farnham. Our client is focused on improving the lives of people globally through novel medical remedies.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
Key Responsibilities:
- For this role, you will be accountable for setting budgets for the lab function and preserving control of expenditure.
- The ideal candidate will handle the company's environmental supervision, and crucial utilities monitring program such as purified, pure steam and WFI water systems, within all GMP aspects.
- Accountable for reviewing manufacturing settings against global standards of operations.
- Guide and ghandle a lab operation, which involves QC testing of raw materials, excipients, components, in process intermediates and finished products that results are produced rendering to formed written procedures and GMP in a timely manner.
- Handle the team of QC scientists and microbiologists.
- Contribute to internal audits while contributing to regulatory and customer audits.
- Assist and partake in company projects, quality initiatives and constant improvement programs in quality assurance and the Farnham site.
- Review test strategies against present EP, USP and industry regulatory standards.
- Evaluate and approved reports, investigations, validations necessary by the company.
- Offer contributions to the QA Manager/QP and broader leadership team to resolve matters recognised daily, weekly and monthly.
- Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:
- Educated to a degree level in a scientific or business-connected field.
- Acquaintance in a management role.
- Familiarity working within a pharmaceutical, device or similar organisation with expertise on the needs of the MHRA and FDA as well as comprehension of ISO needs and acquaintance with sterile products.
- Comprehension of cGMP, quality and regulatory setting and inspection procedure for clinical and commercial material.
- Able to develop vision for lab group which improves performance of the company.
- Performance people management abilities with the drive to be ambitious and objective focused.
