Hobson Prior are looking for a Manager (Immunohistochemistry) to join a small Oncology focused biotech organisation on a permanent basis in Marseille. You will be a team leader within a matrix organization, actively involved in the assessment of the organisation's new targets, in the discovery and development of a new antibody.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead a team composed of engineers and technicians.
  • Demonstrates in-depth job knowledge related to management and supervision of personnel.
  • Manage all People Cycle of all Human Resources activities and processes (including recruitment, annual and professional development reviews, training and skills development).
  • Adjusts staffing to optimize workflow and efficiencies; ensures that the team achieves the objectives set.
  • Sustain motivation and skill development of the team members.
  • Communicate and deliver the strategy defined by the Management within the team.
  • Implement and develop assays to respond to project/program manager requests.
  • Technical and scientific literature survey in the field of tissue analysis and immuno-oncology.
  • Review and validation of data generated within the team.
  • Clear and accurate result synthesis and presentation (powerpoint).
  • Redaction and revision of technical documentation (SOPs), project-related documents (study reports), posters and scientific articles.
  • Regular reporting to management and information diffusion to collaborators.
  • Promotion of the Company culture and values.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with internal procedures in the team.

  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and documentation skills.

Requirements:

  • You will have a Bac +5, PhD degree with a specialty in Immunology/Oncology or MD with a specialty in pathology.
  • Strong technical expertise in chromogenic IHC and multiplexed IHC.
  • Experience in leading and managing people.
  • Technical knowledge of IHC strainers.
  • Digital pathology basics with knowledge of software solutions (e.g. Halo, Definiens, VisioPharm, Calopix, QuPath).
  • Histology basics.
  • Bioinformatics basics (GraphPad Prism or R studio (preferred)).
