Finance Controller (Remote)

Hobson Prior are seeking a Finance Controller to join a brilliant biopharmaceutical company on a permanent basis located in Bratislava. Our Client is focused on enhancing people's lives through the development and delivery of innovative treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess sales and expenditure comprehensively (Plan-Fact & Factor Analysis, Operational Expenses & FTE Analysis, Risks & Opportunities).
• Analyze and provide financial information and insights to the CFO/FP&A Lead and local management team.
• Manage monthly accounts [accruals] in conjunction with FP&A Lead.
• Implement new IT solutions for financial analysis and control procedures.
• Provide oversight of local bank accounts & payment processes. Manage cash flow and cooperate effectively with outsourced accounting services.
• Maintain budgetary control to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed.
• Execute annual, quarterly, and monthly financial processes that support financial objectives.
• Maintain regular and ad-hoc submissions and presentations of financial information.
• Analyze and support business cases for portfolio expansion and geo-expansion.
• Establish a compliance-based culture and enforce it.
• Maintain compliance with local and HQ financial requirements.
• Support the auditing process.

Key Skills:

• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience in standard reporting & consolidation applications.
• Expertise in Excel (VBA is preferred) as well as Power Point.
• Exceptional analytical and leadership skills, as well as strong stress resistance
• The ability to champion ideas, make decisions, and focus on results).
• A willingness to take risks and make informed business decisions.

Requirements:

• You should have a bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math, and Statistics.
• Operating finance experience of at least five years is required.
• Experience working for a multinational pharmaceutical or FMCG company is preferred.
• It is essential to have excellent English language skills.
