Hobson Prior is seeking a Bioprocessing Scientist to join a team dedicated to producing high-quality gene therapy products in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment. This role involves supporting the production of sterile products, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and contributing to the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established procedures to produce gene therapy products in a clean and sterile environment.
• Use aseptic techniques to ensure contamination-free production.
• Monitor and maintain the manufacturing facility to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and environmental monitoring of the facility.
• Update and review process documents as needed.
• Manage inventory, including stock checks, ordering, and storage of materials.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Identify and report any issues or deviations in processes.
• Assist in transferring new processes into manufacturing when required.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Background in bioprocessing, life sciences, or a related field, with practical laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing, particularly in aseptic environments.
• Understanding of GMP standards and practices.
• Experience with sample preparation and analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain professionalism under pressure.
