Advanced Bioprocessing Scientist

Hobson Prior is looking for an Advanced Bioprocessing Scientist to join a leading Biotechnology company. This role focuses on developing potentially curative treatments for patients living with serious diseases. You will be responsible for your own development and coaching/training of other scientists, ensuring work complies with industry standards and regulations, and performing manufacturing activities in multiple unit operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive your own development and coach/train other Bioprocessing Scientists.
• Ensure your work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Complete your training in a timely and compliant manner.
• Perform manufacturing activities in multiple unit operations.
• Identify, report, and investigate issues and coach others on investigations.
• Identify, report, and investigate safety risks and near misses.
• Collaborate and deliver continuous improvements within the manufacturing area to improve safety, quality, and flow.

Requirements

• University degree in Science or Engineering.
• Experience in pharmaceutical product manufacture, preferably biologics and aseptic manufacture.
• Good awareness of industry standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated competency within multiple areas of bioprocessing and strong performance in managing quality events.
