Hobson Prior is seeking a Vice President of Medical and Scientific Innovation to join a dynamic consultancy team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a senior scientific strategist, medical storyteller, and trusted advisor to leading pharmaceutical and biotech organizations. This position offers the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing medical team while driving innovation in medical communications and fostering strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).

Responsibilities:

• Build and mentor a high-caliber medical team, fostering a culture of scientific curiosity, strategic thinking, and accountability.
• Oversee team operations, including resource allocation, utilization, and alignment with business needs.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of therapeutic markets and industry trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
• Develop innovative medical communication platforms, KOL engagement strategies, and educational initiatives.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with KOLs and industry experts to gather insights and validate strategic recommendations.
• Contribute to new business development by articulating unique strategic approaches during pitches and fostering organic growth.
• Serve as a senior scientific partner on high-science or blockbuster assets.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or PharmD).
• Experience in medical communications or pharma-biotech with a proven track record in senior strategic leadership.
• Strong expertise in therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, cardiometabolic diseases, neurology, or rare diseases (experience in regenerative medicine is a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
• Proven experience in new business pitches and strategic client engagement.
• US citizenship or green card holder status is required.

Compensation:

• $190 000.00 - $230 000.00 Per Annum
