Hobson Prior are seeking for an Upstream Process Development - Lead Scientist to join a fantastic CDMO on a permanent basis located in South Korea. Our client is focused on providing development and manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will offer technical leadership in developing, optimising, scaling-up, and validating all steps within the upstream process development group.
• Guide the development and execution of procedures from bench through scale-up, and to pilot scale, which involves technology transfer through clinical manufacturing.
• Responsible for serving as the technical project lead for the development of solid high performing upstream procedures with emphasis on transferability to cGMP manufacturing.
• Cooperate with internal personnel to produce project and cost submissions, timelines, and work plans by implementing scientific expertise and business knowledge.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to an advanced degree level with demonstrable work experience.
• Demonstrable experience working within an international big pharma, or CDMO setting within the US/EU market.
• Comprehension of cGMP and biopharmaceutical product development lifecycle, and in regulatory archiving such as BLA, MAA, IND, etc.
• Familiarity with process development with mAb and multifaceted molecules such as bsAb, ADC, fusion protein, etc., based on mammalian cells.
• Exhibited experience with advanced technologies, for example: intensified cell culture, continuous process, media development, or new upstream development platform, etc.
