Hobson Prior is currently seeking a Lead Scientist for the Upstream Process Development department on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be the technical lead for client development projects, providing strategy, vision, and direction.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development, optimization, scale-up, and validation of upstream processes. .

• Communicate project status and provide technical explanations and rationalization as the technical lead for client development projects.
• Establish objectives for a significant project or area by providing strategy, vision, and direction and making decisions for the overall operation

• Develop and implement processes from bench through clinical manufacturing, including technology transfer.

Key Skills

• Proficiency in process development, particularly in high throughput technologies.
• Expertise in technology transfer and the ability to scale up processes to pilot and manufacturing scales.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field is required. For candidates with a Master's degree, relevant work experience is preferred. Alternatively, a Ph.D. degree is also acceptable.
