Hobson Prior is seeking a passionate individual for the role of Scientist, Mass Spectrometry. This role focuses on understanding the structure, function and degradation pathways of proteins, as well as the processes involved in protein production. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in mass spectrometry and contribute to the development of new protein therapeutics.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct lab-based work; including the analysis of protein therapeutics using mass spectrometry techniques.
• Solve complex scientific problems and communicate your findings to other team members and project teams.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the authorship of regulatory submissions, technical procedures, protocols, and reports.
• Stay updated on the latest analytical techniques and research specific analytical protocols.
• Ensure lab equipment is properly maintained and functioning, and that lab materials and consumables are available.
• Lead experimental design and interpretation of results, and ensure data is captured appropriately in submission-ready reports.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience in mass spectrometry.
• Ability to manage your own work, set priorities, and plan effectively.
• Excellent working relationships and sensitivity to group dynamics.
• Proficiency in relevant IT solutions and English literacy.
