Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Technical Specialist to join a brilliant biotech establishment on a permanent basis located in in various parts of the UK with hybrid working available. Our client is focused on life-changing remedies within various therapeutic areas.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will guarantee close out of items allocated to the role in a timely manner.
  • Raise any crucial items to EMO leadership.
  • Accountable for the technical assistance/organisation of the manufacturing and testing for products/projects allocated.
  • Responsible for crucial manufacturing of resources such as cell banks.
  • You will form and uphold pertinent KPI with CMOs and CTLs.
  • Implement protocols with respect to validation or tech transfer.
  • Offer technical contribution as part of a project team.
  • The ideal candidate will participate in giving data to regulatory proposals, EMO project meetings and international MS&T establishment.
  • Ensure current and nee SOPs pertinent to EMO are kept up to date.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a natural science or similar discipline.
  • Familiarity within a pharmaceutical manufacturing, testing & technology transfer institution.
  • Acquaintance with one or more of the following: Small Molecule API, Oral Solid Dose, Biological Drug Substance, Aseptic Filling, etc.
  • Prior involvement working with CMOs and/or contract labs.
  • Fluency in the English language with knowledge in French and/or German which would be advantageous for the role.
  • Former involvement with either pharmaceutical manufacturing, analytical testing and/or technology transfer.
  • Capable of forming solid relations.
  • Acquaintance with external manufacturing and testing.
  • Comprehension of pharmaceutical quality guidelines, such as cGMP.
  • Risk Analysis & Troubleshooting skills
  • Competency in project management.
  • Know-how of data interpretation & statistics.
