Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Sr. Director, Clinical Biomarkers, Lab to join a fantastic CRO on a permanent basis located in Oxford. Our client is focused on using molecular biology science to produce an innovative generation of life-changing treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this position, you will be accountable for directing the evolvement of new clinical biomarkers for programs across the pipeline.
  • Participate in recognising and selecting biomarker suppliers and assist in forming the approach for the selection of those suppliers.
  • You will contribute to the committees and work streams that assist in the process and method for standardised language, biomarker usage and data handover and gathering.
  • Guarantee the distribution of all biomarker data for clinical programs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supervise the organisation of a new bioanalytical laboratory for clinical biomarkers that use immuno assays, genetic assays and flow cytometry.
  • Responsible for forming new quality and information infrastructure for the clinical biomarker laboratory.
  • Guide the analysis of new technology and scientific advances for us in clinical biomarker assays.
  • The ideal candidate will supervise a swiftly expanding team of senior and junior laboratory personnel.
  • To emerge and confirm new clinical biomarker assays under suitable direction/protocols for clinical trial use, you will guide a team of devoted and senior laboratory scientists.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level with at least 6 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry guiding a bioanalytical laboratory within immunoassays, sequencing and flow cytometry.
  • Familiarity in directing a team of laboratory scientists.
  • Exhaustive comprehension of applicable GxP and ICH direction around clinical biomarker quality prospects.
  • Knowledge of CDx and Complimentary diagnostics space and needs.
  • Understands the regulatory prospects for pivotal biomarkers in clinical trials.
  • Acquaintance with implementing biomarkers during evolvement of resources needed which involves familiarity with clinical translational research, evolvement, corroboration and execution of biomarkers within Oncology.
  • Previous involvement in handling third party assay laboratories, co-operations as well as handling budgets.
  • Communication and project management abilities.
