Senior Research Scientist

Hobson Prior are working alongside a fantastic pharmaceutical organisation who are currently seeking for a Senior Research Scientist to join their team. This role is on a contract basis. Our client is focused on supplying transforming therapies to people suffering from serious illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this position, you will be responsible for mainly assisting oncology projects by producing in-vitro pharmacology, biochemical data and kinetic characterisation to assist both profiling and mechanistic comprehension.
• The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about following the science which will facilitate the distribution of the company's portfolio.
• Accountable for the creation of data that drives the chemistry in our projects, as well as bespoke mechanism of activity studies.
• You will be supplying necessary assistance to projects.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to a PhD degree, or professional training and past experience in a biochemistry, in-vitro pharmacology or similar field.
• Acquaintance in quantitative biochemistry, pharmacology, and kinetic studies implemented to compound profiling and mechanism of activity studies.
• Focused on the future with the ability to think strategically.
• Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Comprehension of the drug discovery process obtained through past involvement working within a pharma or academic lab with connections to drug discovery.
