Senior Production Scientist

Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior Production Scientist to join a biopharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on evolving treatments that harness the immune system to destroy cancerous cells.

Job Responsibilities:

• Qualify methods and processes to confirm their appropriateness.
• Support Clinical Trial manufacturing through cell processing
• Develop assays suitable for product release
• Author development reports and regulatory documentation
• Contribute in technology transfer into the Manufacturing group
• Work with external service providers
• Supervise staff or students as necessary
• Select and purchase appropriate laboratory equipment.
• Assist in Equipment Qualification

Key Skills:

• Understanding of and experience with quality and regulatory guidance governing biopharmaceutical development
• Experience with a range of biopharmaceutical and cell-based techniques
• Strong understanding of cell biology and immunology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible, self-motivated and focused on team outcomes
• Excellent leadership skills
• Understanding of and familiarity with GMP regulations
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to present results clearly and logically, working co-operatively as part of a team as well as independently
• Good attention to detail and ability to accurately follow SOPs
• Ability to identify and implement solutions

Requirements:

• Directly relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience
• Experience of working in a busy laboratory environment is desirable
• Higher degree in Biology/Biomedical Science/Immunology/Haematology/Pharmacology or related discipline or minimum 3 years' experience in a GMP field
