Senior Laboratory Analyst

Hobson Prior is seeking an experienced and dedicated Analyst for a full-time Laboratory position. The successful candidate will be part of the Quality Control Laboratory team, focusing on running various tests to establish the quality and purity of different pharmaceutical products. This role will involve using a variety of analytical techniques and equipment and will require compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various tests to determine the identity, quality and purity of pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain the laboratory facility, supplies and equipment in a ready-to-inspect state.
• Document and complete Quality observations and investigations.
• Present informal reports of results to immediate supervision.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies.
• Develop, validate and verify new methodologies for new product introductions or process improvement activities.
• Train other personnel in Analytical techniques.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety (HSE) procedures and participate in HSE incident investigations as needed.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or another related Laboratory Science subject.
• Proven working knowledge of analytical methodology within a GMP environment is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work under the technical supervision of an Analytical Chemist.
• Ability to work on a shift basis depending on production support needs.
• Must have or be able to obtain work authorisation in Ireland.
