Hobson Prior are currently seeking for a Senior Epidemiologist to join a brilliant organisation on a permanent basis located in Oxford. Our client is focused on assisting with the finding and development of new remedies.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will guide the design, implementation and reporting of real-world data research projects.
• Offer scientific and strategical knowledge and evaluations.
• Responsible for modelling data entities for answering research questions.
• Design, carry out and comprehend epidemiological studies to acknowledge specific clinical questions.
• Work with a variety of professionals in a team such as clinicians, data scientists, IT specialists and machine learning.
• Execute and update the pipeline for incoming data.
• Handle extensive data cleaning and prepare for downstream analysis.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Consulting abilities.
• Past involvement in successful project management.
• Passionate about the medical data from gathering to comprehension.
• Educated to an advanced degree level in an epidemiology, healthcare informatics, or in any discipline connected to health data science.
• Capable of performing epidemiological studies.
• Acquaintance with electronic patient records.
• Comprehension of registry data such as death, cancer, etc.
• Comprehension of data from publicly available datasets.
• Abilities in data cleaning and wrangling.
• Capable of implementing several statistical practices to analyse health data.
• Past involvement in using R and SQL.
