Senior Drug Product Engineer

A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Drug Product Engineer to join a biotech organisation who are focused on improving health all over the world through discovering and developing vaccines to stop serious diseases. This is a permanent position based in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct scale-up, transfer, and validation of parenteral products and processes
• Develop user requirements, functional design specification for procurement, design and qualification of new parenteral processing equipment and systems.
• Accountable to communicate and present to management and outside agencies.
• Robust analytical skills with fundamental understanding of the first principles of engineering.
• To provide in-depth knowledge and experience to support deviation investigations and product impact assessments.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Project management.
• New technology evaluation.
• Coach and mentor technical associates.

Requirements:

• PhD or Equivalent Experience: in Chemistry, Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• You will have 15+ years' experience in pharmaceutical parenteral manufacturing (aseptic processing).
• Isolator / Barrier expertise.
• Technology transfer process for sterile products.
• GMP knowledge and understanding of sterile drug product development.
• An in-depth understanding of commercial manufacturing equipment and experience with preparation of regulatory submission documents.
