Hobson Prior is seeking a Senior Biotechnologist to focus on downstream manufacturing processes for drug substances. You will ensure that all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality production and supporting regulatory inspections. This permanent position is based in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Responsibilities:

• Work safely and follow industry guidelines.
• Perform purification tasks from protein A chromatography to freeze operations.
• Keep equipment ready for inspections.
• Write and review procedures and documents.
• Help solve problems and find solutions.
• Guide and support new team members.
• Assist with inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with other departments and suggest improvements.
• Complete additional tasks as needed.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in a related field or relevant experience.
• Experience in purifying proteins and antibodies.
• Hands-on experience with processing equipment.
• Understanding of cell purification and process validation.
• Teamwork skills and leadership when needed.
• Familiarity with regulatory inspections and compliance.
• Knowledge of industry documentation standards.
