Senior Associate or Principal Associate Lawyer (Hybrid)

Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior Associate or Principal Associate Lawyer to join a brilliant law firm company on a permanent basis. Our Client is focused on Networking within its internal staff and external experts, in addition to strong community commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing IP licensing and partnering advice to clients.
• Providing clinical trial agreement advice to clients.
• Dealing with commercial contracts and providing advice on them.
• Involvement of researchers in collaborative research.
• Providing IP protection advice to clients.
• Assisting clients with regulatory issues related to life sciences.
• Providing data protection advice and due diligence services for corporate transactions related to the life sciences sector.

Key Skills:

• The ability to write well and be detail-oriented in addition to good academic credentials.
• Ability to apply legal and commercial skills to a diverse range of contracts and arrangements with excellent technical skills.
• A strong listener, negotiator, and questioner with excellent client service skills to build relationships with clients, potential clients, and multipliers.
• A good sense of time management and paper management.
• A self-starter with initiative and common sense and enthusiasm for teamwork in line with the values of the firm.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, including influence and persuasion skills.
• A good understanding of research and IT skills, including the ability to use online resources.
• A passion for commercial law and its impact on business relationships in the life sciences industry.
• An understanding of how life sciences businesses work and the ability to ask the right questions about what clients are trying to achieve.
• A capability to understand the client's environment and provide relevant advice to their business.
• Ability to digest a large amount of information quickly and focus on the essentials.

Requirements:

• Five or more years of post-qualification experience in a large regional or city firm or in-house is required.
• An interest in life sciences businesses combined with good technical skills in commercial law.
• The ability to explore many areas of practice and an eye for business.
