Key Responsibilities:
- Clearly summarise experiments and results and discuss conclusions within the wider Bioanalytical and Biomarker Development Team.
- To represent as the Bioanalytical/Biomarker Lead on multi-functional Project Teams to contribute to project goals, providing direction on bioanalytical strategies and giving progress updates to key stakeholders.
- Ensure experiments and data management activities result in robust and high-quality data to inform decision making on projects.
- Design and qualify/validate assays to support analytical strategies in line with Project goals. Carry out analyses of data to identify issues and implement necessary changes.
- Communicate effectively with the Principal Scientist to maintain consistent cross-project scientific approaches and appropriate team resourcing.
- Support best practice and be aware of regulatory guidelines with a view to transferring methods into a regulated environment to be used under GLP and GCP regulations.
- Contribute a broad technical skill set.
- Read scientific literature and keep up with the new trends and techniques related to role.
- Contribute to the maintenance of reagents and general upkeep of lab facilities.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of assay development experience (PK, ADA and matrix biomarkers) within a biotech/biopharma/academic setting.
- Proficient in designing and optimising immunological assays and/or biological experiments for robustness and reliable data quality, interpretation of data and trouble shooting.
- Experience understanding factors affecting assay robustness and assay performance.
- Excellent record-keeping and ensuring high levels of data quality.
- Flexible, self-motivated and with good organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm to learn and optimise new methods.
- Robust communication skills and proven ability to work well in teams and independently in both face to face and virtual settings.
