Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Scientific Communications Director to join a Swiss global healthcare organisation who are focused on offering medical solutions in order to transform patients' lives. This position will be on a 15-month contract based in Basel, Switzerland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable to ensure consistency in message across all scientific communication activities.
• Responsible for strategy, execution, assessment, and amplification of the scientific communication for the assigned molecule.
• Seek input from relevant internal stakeholders to inform scientific communication strategy.
• Stay up-to-date of internal and external developments relevant for the assigned molecule.
• Determine internal and external training needs and generates training materials accordingly.
• Accountable for timely and on budget execution of strategy.
• You will manage relationships with external medical communication agencies, prioritizes and delegates activities.

Key Skills:

• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong scientific background (i.e. data analysis, presentation skills).
• Facility with cross-functional networking.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Well-established capacity for strategic thinking.
• Ability to travel overseas for extended periods (e.g. conferences, trainings, workshops).

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in publications in pharma or related field (i.e medical communications agency).
• Advanced degree (PhD) and/or certification in scientific medical field (i.e. PharmD).
• 3 + Global Publications experience required
• Ability to translate scientific information into a understandable meaningful message.
• Fluent (native level) in English.
