Hobson Prior is partnered with a biotech company seeking a Research Scientist in Chemistry for a Compound Management role to join their team on a contract basis. This is a contract position where you will play a crucial part in supporting drug discovery projects by managing and supplying chemical compounds efficiently. You will work in a collaborative environment, using advanced automated systems to ensure timely delivery of compounds.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the storage and supply of chemical compounds for drug discovery projects.
• Use automated systems to prepare and deliver compounds in various formats.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet their compound needs.
• Solve day-to-day issues related to sample processing.
• Contribute to process improvements and technology evaluations.
• Respond quickly to queries about compound orders and processes.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to solve problems and improve processes.
• Experience with practical lab skills and complex tasks.
• Interest in science and technology, understanding of drug discovery.
• Experience with automation equipment and coding (SQL/Python/Java) is beneficial but not required.
