Hobson Prior is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join a biotechnology organization in Bern, Switzerland, on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will work in the Cell Culture Analytics laboratory, conducting release tests for critical immunoglobulin products. This position involves hands-on laboratory work, collaboration with specialists, and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform and document anti-measles neutralization tests as part of a method optimization project.
• Collaborate closely with a specialist from the Method Development team.
• Conduct routine cell culture tasks, such as maintaining and splitting cell lines.
• Carry out additional neutralization tests, including anti-polio and anti-diphtheria tests.
• Support the maintenance, calibration, and monitoring of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with procuring and managing laboratory materials and consumables.
• Contribute to laboratory upkeep, including cleaning and organizing the workspace.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Training as a biology laboratory technician or equivalent qualifications (e.g., bachelor's degree).
• Hands-on experience with cell assays and cell culture techniques.
• Familiarity with working in a BSL2 virus laboratory.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is a plus.
• Willingness to complete required medical training, vaccinations, and blood sampling.
• Basic proficiency in IT tools, including MS Office.
• Strong German language skills and basic English proficiency.
