Hobson Prior are currently looking for a QC Specialist to join a fantastic biotech establishment on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on developing remedies that may have the possibility to cure those living with serious illnesses.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
Key Responsibilities:
- For this role, you will guide investigations and execute corrective action(s) when suitable.
- Guarantee all training is assumes when needed to conduct allocated actions in a timely manner.
- When required, you will contribute to method validation and/or technical transfer implementation.
- Handle operation and upkeep of lab equipment, guaranteeing that all equipment is calibrated and suitable for use in line with test schedule.
- Produce method validation/technical transfer protocols and/or reports.
- The ideal candidate will assist with testing at external contract labs for raw resources and final product.
- To assist any health authority, customer/shareholder site visits, you will uphold QC establishments, and perform required checks.
- You will manage training/coaching junior analysts on methods and corresponding instrumentation.
- Any other assigned duties.

- A high attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues.
- A motivated individual with the capacity to think analytically and innovatively and present self in a professional manner.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of working within a fast-paced setting.
Requirements:
- Educated to a degree level in a scientific field such as biochemistry, chemistry, etc.
- At least 3 years of experience in a GMP setting.
- Familiarity with working in any or various of the following strategies: qPCR, HPLC, Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, DNA extraction, Spectrophotometry, etc.
- Acquaintance with mammalian cell culture and/or flow cytometry would be ideal.
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
- Keen to learn and is curious to comprehend systems and procedures.
- Past involvement working in a quality setting.
