Hobson Prior are currently searching for a Public Health Liaison to join a fantastic organisation on a contract basis located in London. Our client is focused on delivering talent acquisition through superior technology, aggregate solutions and purposeful results.

Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the execution of the Public Health Field Medical Plan, with a strong focus on the delivery of defined strategic medical projects.
- To work with the Public Health Field Team Manager to develop the yearly territory plan.
- To submit on regular basis high quality and relevant insights gathered through external engagements.
- To enter all external engagements into Veeva and CRM in a consistent and correct manner.
- To provide field-based non-promotional medical and scientific partnership for the business, with the aim of providing high quality, accurate and timely scientific advice to healthcare professionals, providers and other relevant stakeholders regarding the company's products, associated disease area(s) and public health strategy.
- Identify, develop and maintain professional and credible relationships with the health care community, especially Scientific Leaders (SL) and academic centres.
- Identify SLs who can collaborate on specific projects or activities, and support work collaboratively with GCTO by providing potential investigators for MSD's clinical development programmes.
- Interacts (e.g. group presentation or 1:1 meeting) as necessary and appropriate with healthcare organisations, health professionals, clinical investigators, and other health care providers and organisations in order to provide complete, accurate, balanced, scientifically rigorous and non-promotional medical and clinical information.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of our companies strategic planning for the UK by providing medical insight and applying expert knowledge about the product, disease area or external landscape.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant products and relevant disease area(s) in order to act as an expert medical resource.
- Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will require a minimum of a medical degree, pharmacy degree, nursing degree or higher science degree (i.e. MSc, PhD).
- High level of knowledge of ABPI Code of Practice.
- Proven relationship building skills with scientific leaders (either in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare/academic setting).
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Medical Science Liaison.
- Understanding of the wider NHS environment and key opportunities for pharma and the NHS to partner effectively within the scope of the ABPI Code of Practice.
- IT skills, including but not limited to use of MS Office software.
