Production and Controls Engineer

Hobson Prior are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity and challenge within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, our client is seeking a Production and Controls Engineer to join them on a permanent basis in Sandwich.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working 50% of your time in automation and 50 % in chemical engineering, you will provide technical support to facilities, utilities and equipment used in the development and clinical manufacture of a range of solid dosage forms.
• You will apply your first-rate technical skills and engineering knowledge to control systems, diagnosing and rectifying faults, developing equipment, understanding processes, automation and digital connectivity.
• This role will also include validation, safety and asset lifecycle management activities. You should be conversant with GAMP 5 regulations and SCADA, Wonderware and ifix.
• Working closely with operational, technical and digital teams delivering robust manufacturing and informatics solutions to solid dose manufacturing activities.
• You will be an expert communicator collaborating with Global Operations, Quality Assurance and Drug Product Design, supporting the manufacture of solid oral dosage forms for clinical supply and solid dose process development activities.

• Outstanding communications and team working skills.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level in Engineering / Chemical Engineer.
• Experienced in safe systems of work and risk assessment tools used in Quality and Safety.
• Excellent use of Project Management Tools including financial aspects of capital projects.
• Proficient in use of Lean / Six Sigma or equivalent tools.
• Confident in delivering training and support to equipment users.
