Hobson Prior are seeking for a Procurement Manager, Capital Projects to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis. Our client is focused on improving people's lives on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will guide/assist with site-based risk examinations, both indirect and engineering services, as well as prioritise general business continuity process engagement with the international team.
  • Assist with the execution of crucial indirect projects/policies at site and project manage the implementational element of action.
  • Collaborate with internal shareholders in the business units, engineering, international procurement, supply chain, account payables, and any other finance/admin functions to guarantee a seamless source to pay business procedures while offering a high level of customer service.
  • Assist/handle procure to pay transactions, enforce policies and internal controls, gather permit collection actions, and help end-users as well as handle vendor relations and engagements.
  • Serve as the escalation point of contact for investigation and resolution of transactional concerns, for example: invoice discrepancies, damages, over shipments, etc.
  • The ideal candidate will assist the site management and engineering teams on supplier engagement throughout operational form of the facility and tactical projects subsequently.
  • Discuss deliveries with vendors and raise problems concerning when deliveries are not in line with assisting production requirements when necessary to do so.
  • You will assist the capital investment method and guarantee compliance/governance on all major capital projects.
  • Supervise/assure cost savings, which involves alternate sourcing of materials for cost savings/avoidance across all sites.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level.
  • Acquaintance and comprehension of both direct materials and capital procurement would be advantageous.
  • Communication skills both verbally and in writing to a varied audience.
  • Familiarity with SAP procurement module as well as supply chain, MRP planning, and inventory modules would be beneficial.
  • Computer literacy.
  • At least 5 years of experience working within CAPEX procurement, supply chain and/or planning would be ideal.
  • Procurement capabilities, for example: developing relationships with suppliers, expediting, prioritising and negotiating deliveries, analysing and reporting on supplier performance, etc.
  • Past involvement in cGMP within biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and/or medical device organisations would be ideal though comparable controlled organisations would be taken into consideration.
