Hobson Prior are seeking a Process Development Scientist to join a fantastic pharmaceutical organisation on a permanent basis located in Edinburgh. Our client is focused on making specific therapies better, competent, accessible and inexpensive.

Key Responsibilities:
- For this role, you will be responsible for self-sufficiently assessing raw data to a high standard and convey outcomes to project teams on an internal level and clients/partners on an external level and when suitably, using scientific documents, posters, and colleague-assessed publications.
- Accountable for enhancing research-based engineering procedures such as to accessible manufacturing procedures.
- You will uphold high levels of standards of laboratory practices in all actions, which involves, precisely documenting and handling raw data affiliated with the organisation's guidelines.
- Create detailed regulations and SOPs in order to permit assay technology transfer both on an internal and external basis.
- To prepare, apply and document experiments in electronic laboratory notebooks across a variety of analytical evolvement projects from both an academic and industrial environment, you will cooperate with scientists and high management.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing approved research self-sufficiently while under minimal supervision.

Requirements:
- Able travel for business needs.
- Educated to an advanced degree level in a life science or biochemical engineering discipline with at least 3+ years of experience in a fitting setting mainly oriented on PhD in an area relevant to immune/stem cell analytical techniques.
- Experience with cell culture with pluripotent stem cells or other clinically applicable cell types such as lymphocytes, PBMCs, dendritic cells, CD34+, MSCs, etc.
- Know-how in immune/stem cell biology.
- Familiar with device expansion and/or bioengineering in upstream and/or downstream cell processing practices and machineries.
- Comprehension of cell characterisation for cell therapy products.
- Capable of documenting experiments and document writing to ALCOA, standing for Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original and Accurate ideologies of data veracity.
- Acquaintance with cell isolation from one or more of the following: apheresis, peripheral or cord blood and/or bone marrow.
- Previous involvement with cellular severance and purification by magnetic- or fluorescence-galvanised cell categorisation.
