Hobson Prior are working with an award-winning, data focused CRO who are looking for a Principal Medical Writer to join them on a permanent basis. For this role, you can be based in a variety of offices around the UK and you also have the opportunity to work remotely available to you.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for providing regular feedback to senior teams across accounts and projects.
• The ability to communicate clearly to different audiences through a variety of media (print and digital).
• Able to write across multiple projects and accounts simultaneously, whilst monitoring team output.
• Deliver client-ready deliverables across a wide range of projects consistently.
• Cooperate with the wider team to lead and drive projects, providing expert content development support.
• Support the senior team by taking the lead on multi-writer projects, assisting with scientific and communications reviewing.
• Independently produce consistently high-level content.
• Provide scientific leadership on assigned accounts, including implementing detailed strategic direction.
• Demonstrate a high degree of scientific and commercial knowledge and insights across all activities.
• Participate in business development initiatives with both existing and potential clients when required.
• Establish and maintain excellent scientific relationships/communications with clients and with third party suppliers, key opinion leaders and medical experts to help develop high-quality content.
• Review copy and provide helpful and clear constructive feedback to junior team members.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant science subject or has a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Medical Writer in a medical communications agency or in a similar environment.
• Strong experience with medical writing.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
• Have an outstanding command of the English language in both written and verbal communications.
• Previous experience in a medical communications agency or industry would be advantageous.
• A keen interest in working and developing scientific expertise across a range of therapy areas.
• Ability to travel.
