Packaging Specialist

Hobson Prior are looking for a Packaging Specialist to join a leading biopharmaceutical organisation focused on developing and manufacturing biosimilar medicines. This is a permanent position located in Iceland.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and assist in the planning and setup of a secondary packaging functional unit.
• Contribute to the smooth technical transfer of new processes/product into manufacturing.
• As a Trained Trainer, train, coach and mentor and help to provide guidance and support for less experienced members of staff.
• Assist in the execution of re-qualification and re-validation protocols to maintain the qualified status of equipment and processes.
• Work cross functionally to support secondary packaging related process improvement, process validation, process change control, deviation investigation and technical troubleshooting to help maintain lean, flexible, and agile manufacturing facility.
• Adhere to budget and resource management for all assigned projects according to guidance given by management.
• Responsible for own continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of new Regulatory requirements as well as technical developments relevant to own area of expertise. Proactively share knowledge for the benefit of others.
• To be a Subject Matter Expert and key team member contributing to successful commercial Pre-Approval Inspections (PAIs), regular Audits and any other interaction with regulatory agencies as required.
• Generate scientific documents to support the generation of international registration documents, support registration and contracting activities.

• Team player with strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in use of a PC and common Microsoft packages such as Word, Visio, Excel.

Requirements:

• Industry experience in pharmaceutical development and/or manufacturing of finished dosage forms for biopharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of GMP, Process Characterization and Validation.
