Hobson Prior are looking for a Medical Devices Project Manager to join a fantastic medical device organisation on a permanent basis working remotely from home in Cambridge. Our client is focused on developing devices to alleviate hand tremors.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will be responsible for planning company timelines and guarantee timely delivery to specifications (engineering, regulatory, clinical and commercial).
  • Organise the development teams (Engineering, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, Commercial) and keep people on track to bring this product to the marketplace on time.
  • You will be accountable for setting priorities with the directors (CEO and Engineering, Commercial, Financial Directors).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to offer input with respect to commercialisation.
  • Operate collaboratively with the engineering team to warrant compliance with necessities; mediate with major supply chain partners; manage design control documentation and file patents.
  • As the Medical Devices Project Manager, you will collaborate with the regulatory team to certify adherence to necessary standards (i.e. ISO 13485, 14971, 60601) and to uphold the quality management system.
  • The ideal candidate will work collectively as a team with the clinical team to submit ethics/MHRA/FDA applications and coordinate the clinical trials in 2021 according to company timelines.
  • Co-operate with the finance team to support grant applications, grant management, fundraising, budget management and any other similar activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and development of medical devices.
  • Knowledgeable flexibility, inquisitiveness and a proven track record of developing effective products.
  • Understanding of heading teams with digital collaboration systems.
  • Former experience with handling employees virtually, and internationally.
  • Acquaintance with medical device marketing platforms, programs and policies.
  • Prior experience with quality management systems and ISO standards (13485, 14971, 60601).
