Hobson Prior is seeking a Medical Affairs Officer to join a dedicated team. This role involves working with colleagues and third-party service providers to deliver services. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing safety data, conducting literature reviews, processing cases, managing signals, managing risks, authoring safety reports and supporting product maintenance and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Review safety data from various sources.
  • Conduct systematic reviews of safety information published in scientific literature.
  • Process individual case safety reports, including data entry and assessment.
  • Manage signals from detection to assessment and recommendation for action.
  • Produce, review, and maintain Risk Management Plans.
  • Author and review aggregate safety reports.
  • Author safety-related information and coordinate associated regulatory activities.
  • Provide Pharmacovigilance support to the EU QPPV and Global Head of Medical Affairs.
  • Prioritise, plan, and organise workload in line with company's and customers' needs.
  • Ensure high-quality work within agreed timelines.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Degree in Biological or Biomedical Sciences. An additional postgraduate degree would be an advantage.
  • Experience in Pharmacovigilance and Medication/ Patient safety.
  • Proven working knowledge in Drug Safety either within the UK or Europe.
  • Understanding of current and developing legislation, ethics, and practice.
  • Excellent communication and medical writing skills.
  • Understanding of information management principles.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Professionalism and integrity.
