Hobson Prior are looking for a Medical Affairs specialist for an exciting opportunity to join a small medical affairs team at a world-wide rare disease company.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinates, delivers and communicates the planful development of medical materials, either de novo or modified from global team, to agreed timelines and standards
  • Proactive engagement with Global medical team to anticipate and plan future materials (campaigns, publications, educational content, congress activity, meetings)
  • Responsible for copy review of core materials for medical and marketing (relevant TAs only), but not Final Signatory
  • Supports the team in developing local medical tactics and provide input to regional plans if relevant
  • Monitor and proactively support the local medical action plan
  • Strengthen medical education programs planning, content, and execution
  • Provide input for responses to medical information questions from HCPs and ORDMs
  • Set up planned scientific advisory boards with the appropriate key stakeholders, in accordance with local guidelines
  • Share relevant insights within medical and cross- functional teams as appropriate
  • Deliver medical expertise to allocated medical programs and pipeline activities ahead of launch- where the role includes support to an anticipated product launch the individual will also be key to medical mapping of the condition, patient pathway and HCPS.

Key Skills:

  • Current knowledge of Haematology disease area and treatments, a willingness and flexibility to rapidly learn and provide support to other disease areas
  • Up to date experience of the UK/ ROI compliance environment and an understanding of Pharmaceutical regulations (GCP/ GVP/ GDP)
  • Conveys professional assertive leadership in all interactions, able to prioritise complex workload, project management skills, and communication to pro-actively inform stakeholders
  • Drive and enthusiasm, with an ease of tailoring communication style and presenting complex information to meet audience needs

Requirements:

  • University Degree level education in medical-science, pharmacy or other, related and relevant discipline. PhD is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a medical role in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English
