Hobson Prior is seeking a Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer to join a manufacturing team in the US. In this role, you will oversee the reliability and performance of plant equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. You will lead maintenance processes, support continuous improvement initiatives, and drive technical development within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure workplace safety by leading comprehensive safety processes and adhering to regulations.
• Implement and maintain maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training. Manage capital projects, department budgets, and identify opportunities for technical improvements.
• Use problem-solving tools to address equipment failures and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to drive process improvements and meet performance goals.
• Support continuous improvement activities and foster a culture of operational excellence.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and ability to promote a zero-incident culture.
• Leadership skills to build and manage an effective and collaborative team.
• Proficiency in problem-solving techniques such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEAs, and 5 Whys.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and predictive maintenance systems.
• Experience managing costs and optimizing budgets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferred experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or reliability-focused roles.
