Hobson Prior is seeking a Principal Instrumentation Engineer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will focus on managing and improving the calibration and instrumentation systems at a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure that equipment operates safely and efficiently, meeting all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the site's calibration program and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
• Work with health and regulatory authorities to maintain compliance.
• Support maintenance teams by providing guidance and training on new equipment and techniques.
• Identify and address potential equipment issues before they arise.
• Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for instrumentation processes.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles.
• Ideally experience within a biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with European Union directives and international engineering standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and high-quality work environment.
